towards the public, its customers,
employees and the environment.
Dialight BLP Ltd aims to meet its
responsibilities by employing an Environmental
Management System that ensures a commitment
to meeting all regulatory and legislative
requirements and provides the basis
to exceed these requirements through
continual improvement in environmental
performance.
All environmental effects relevant
to the manufacture of products and
other activities are assessed, controlled
with an objective to:
· Minimise the use of materials,
fuels and energy thus reducing waste
· Dispose of waste produced
in accordance with the duty of care
and approved transfer notes,
· Recycle waste, wherever possible,
· Minimise the environmental
effects of new products,
· Provide an ethical procurement
policy,
· Ensure continual improvement
within the framework defined by ISO14001.
Each objective or target is set out
in an 'Environmental Action Plan'
which states the objective of the
plan, the person responsible for managing
the project, and the stages and timescales.
The progress of environmental action
plans is monitored by the Environment
& Quality Manager and is reviewed
at subsequent management review meetings.
We encourage our suppliers and our
customers to design and use re-useable
packaging which can then be recycled
at the end of its natural life cycle.
