BLP will be launched its new X-Pulse remote disconnect system at the AMRA show in September this year.
The X-Pulse remote disconnect system provides Wholehouse disconnect capability, eliminating costly site visits by meter personnel. The pager based communications option utilises the existing 930Mhz Flex network allowing rapid & cost effective implementation. For final disconnection, the system employs BLP¡¦s PowerPulse latching relay technology that is currently used in millions of residential meters.
With it ¡¥Plug and Play¡¦ design its simple to install and ready to use. No additional control wires to run or communications technology to install. The complete system is mounted within a standard wall socket adapter and ready for use
Using the X-Pulse control software a utility can individually contact any of the field units and perform a disconnection or reconnection, remotely. The software contains a customer database which holds details of all the field units including their location and switch status.
